Sustainability
Solar panel installation on farms will enhance the world’s energy security and help eliminate greenhouse gas emissions.
We pledge to establish a Community Benefit Fund to be used for the wider economic, environmental, social and cultural well-being of local communities. Through this fund, real and quantifiable capital will be made available and invested in local renewable energy, energy efficiency measures and climate action initiatives.
We ensure biodiversity enhancement measures and biodiversity net gain on all our projects. Our biodiversity management plan supports habitat enhancement measures by: enhancing existing hedgerows and planting new hedgerows with local species, installing bat and bird boxes, wetlands, wildflower meadows, and beehives to create habitats. Our projects are designed sensitively to ensure animals can safely pass through the project enclosure.

Bill Sadlier
Chief Executive Officer
Bill heads up our leadership, commercial activities, and asset delivery plan. He brings 2GW+ of experience in renewable energy project development, project finance and private equity across Europe and the US. Bill is an accountant by training but a developer at heart.
Seán Manley
Chief Operating Officer
Seán manages the operational delivery of our development portfolio from site identification, through the land execution, permitting and grid connection stages. He has 20 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, and a track record for delivering best practice renewable energy projects.
James Power
Head of Finance & Commercial
James is our head of Finance & Commercial, with responsibility for financial planning, investment appraisal and Route to Market strategy for Circal’s portfolio. James worked in commercial roles for Irish utility ESB and as Financing and Investment Manager for solar developer BNRG before joining the Circal team.
Kevin Lynch
GIS Manager
Kevin sources, maintains, and models all relevant grid, topographical, geographical and demographic data to inform our site selection and development process. Kevin holds an MSc in Geographic Information Systems from Ulster University, and has previously worked in the utility and insurance sectors.
Patrick Kirwan
Land Manager
Patrick is a Chartered Land Surveyor with over 10 years’ experience spanning project land acquisition and securing project easements / wayleaves, for infrastructure development. In his role, he identifies the ideal land for our portfolio and devises execution strategies for securing the land. Patrick previously worked at Avison Young where he led the delivery of property advisory and land acquisition services to a range of private, semi-state and local authority clients.
Chloe LeBlanc
Development Director
Chloe heads up the development of our US portfolio. She has 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy and environmental sectors, and has developed 1GW+ of utility-scale solar projects across the development cycle ranging from early, mid, and late-stage development.
Alex Clark
Project Manager
Alex supports the site identification process for US projects, and is responsible for liaising with landowners and managing consultants and advisors to progress projects through the development cycle. Alex graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Environmental Technology and Management.
James Kelly
Project Manager
James is responsible for liaising with landowners and managing consultants and advisors to progress Circal’s Irish projects through the development cycle. James holds a MSc. Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance from UCD Smurfit Business.
